
About Stephanie Melzer, O.D.
Stephanie Melzer, O.D. treats Colorado Ophthalmology Associates patients at both the Denver and Lakewood offices. She provides excellent primary eye care, including contact lens fittings and the general management of ocular diseases like macular degeneration and glaucoma.
Dr. Melzer grew up in Littleton, CO. After graduating from Columbine High School she attended Colorado State University where she earned degrees in International Studies and Spanish. She then completed optometry school in Forest Grove, Oregon, graduating with honors from Pacific University in 2015. Dr. Melzer preformed internships at a refractive surgery center in Denver, CO, a private ophthalmology practice in Fairfield, CT, as well as the Veteran’s Affair Medical Center in Lexington, KY and the Indian Health Service in Santa Fe, NM.
Dr. Melzer has traveled to Haiti and El Salvador to provide eye care to underserved populations, and most recently, has worked with Children without Borders and VOSH international to provide eye exams to children in Costa Rica. She also completed a student fellowship through the American Academy of Optometry.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, backpacking, and cycling, as well as sampling the many restaurants in the Denver area. She also looks forward to spending time with family!
